Last weeks to see Ilon’s work at Waldemarsudde

As part of the Moomin 80th anniversary, Prince Eugen’s Waldemarsudde opened the exhibition From Moomin to Chop Chop in February – a visual celebration of four of the Nordic region’s most beloved children’s book illustrators: Tove Jansson, Ilon Wikland, Pija Lindenbaum, and Linda Bondestam.

The exhibition features over 300 original works, taking visitors on a creative and emotional journey through the illustrators’ craft. See how characters, places, and moods come to life through colour, line, and form – stirring emotions and imagination alike.

For those who love Ilon’s world, this is a unique opportunity to see not only finished illustrations but also sketches, notes, and even small sculptures. Discover rarely shown originals alongside iconic scenes in a new context.

The exhibition also includes a creative space where both children and adults can try illustrating their own stories – surrounded by the artwork itself.

⏰ Open until: August 17, 2025
📍 Location: Prince Eugen’s Waldemarsudde, Stockholm
